How to clean, wear, and store your gold-plated, gold vermeil, or rhodium-plated sterling silver jewelry and gemstones.
Jewelry care, in three simple steps
Put it on last. Take it off first. Wipe and store it dry. These small habits help protect your Dellyrica jewelry's finish, gemstones, and shine.
A finish worth caring for
Dellyrica jewelry begins with 925 sterling silver. Gold-tone styles feature 2 μm of 14K, 18K, or 24K gold plating, while selected styles use 14K or 18K gold vermeil. Silver-tone styles have a 0.1–0.5 μm rhodium finish. Every piece also has a palladium underlayer beneath its precious-metal finish and a final anti-tarnish protective coating.

Three habits that make a difference
Keep chemicals and water away
Apply perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hair products before putting on jewelry. Remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, or cleaning.
Refresh after wearing
Use a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove skin oils and moisture. Avoid hard rubbing, especially around plated surfaces and settings.
Give each piece its own space
Store jewelry in its box or a soft pouch in a cool, dry place. Keeping pieces separate helps prevent scratches and tangled chains.
How to clean Dellyrica jewelry
For routine care, a soft, dry cloth is usually enough. If a piece needs a more thorough clean and its gemstone can safely be exposed to water:
- Mix a small amount of mild, fragrance-free soap with lukewarm water.
- Gently wipe the jewelry with a soft cloth. Use a very soft brush around settings only when needed; do not scrub the plated surface.
- Remove soap residue with a lightly dampened cloth, then dry the piece completely before storing it.
Skip abrasive cleaning. Do not use toothpaste, baking soda, silver dips, chemically treated silver polishing cloths, or harsh cleaners on plated jewelry. We do not recommend ultrasonic or steam cleaning for Dellyrica pieces. For details, see our polishing cloth guide.
Care for the stone as well as the setting
Dellyrica uses moissanite, lab-grown colored gemstones, and natural gemstones. Their care needs can differ. Avoid impacts and check that the setting feels secure before cleaning. For natural gemstones or a piece whose treatment is unknown, start with a soft, dry cloth and ask us before using water or soap.
Jewelry care questions
Can I shower or swim in gold-plated or rhodium-plated jewelry?
We recommend taking it off first. Soap, chlorine, salt water, and repeated moisture can affect the finish and some gemstones.
Can I use a silver polishing cloth on plated sterling silver?
Use a plain, soft, lint-free cloth. Traditional chemically treated or abrasive silver polishing cloths are designed for exposed silver and may affect plated surfaces or the protective coating.
Is an ultrasonic cleaner safe for my Dellyrica jewelry?
We do not recommend ultrasonic cleaning. Gemstones, settings, and surface finishes do not all respond to it in the same way.
How should I store a necklace or ring?
Wipe it dry and store it separately in its box or a soft pouch, away from humid bathrooms and direct contact with other jewelry.
